Cachar District Administration hosts live streaming of Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Chief Minister’s address on birth centenary of former Assam CM Golap Borbora

Janasanyog, Silchar : The Cachar District Administration on Friday organized an impressive live streaming session of the speeches delivered by Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister of Assam, Late Golap Borbora. The program was held at the new Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office, Silchar, and marked a moment of reverence for one of the most respected leaders in the state’s political history.

The event commenced with the gathering of officials and staff members from various wings of the district administration. District Commissioner Mridul Yadav, IAS, graced the occasion along with senior administrative officials including Dr. Khaleda Sultana Ahmed, ACS; Hemanga Nobis, ACS; Phyllis Hrangchal, ACS; Assistant Commissioner, Unhale Ashish Vidyadhar ,IAS; Smt. Deepa Das, ACS, Assistant commissioner who also serves as incharge DDIPR Barak Valley Zone, Silchar.

The program also saw active participation from the staff of the DC’s establishment, the personnel of DDIPR Barak Valley Zone, and a significant representation of media fraternity, who were present to cover the event and witness the historic addresses being broadcast live. During the live telecast, Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma paid glowing tributes to Late Golap Borbora, recalling his exceptional leadership, integrity, and far-sighted vision that contributed immensely to the democratic fabric of Assam. Their speeches emphasized Borbora’s enduring values of public service and his steadfast commitment to the socio-economic upliftment of the people of Assam.
