PM Modi Predicts Historic Victory for BJP in West Bengal Assembly Polls
Hardoi/Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed immense confidence in the West Bengal Assembly Election 2026, stating that the people of the state are voting fearlessly for development and democracy. Speaking at the inauguration of the Ganga Expressway in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, the Prime Minister noted that a historic win for the BJP is on the horizon.
PM Modi highlighted that the high voter turnout in the ongoing phases of the West Bengal polls reflects the growing strength of the democratic process. He claimed that the citizens are exercising their rights to support progress and good governance, signaling a major shift in the political landscape of the state.
I am confident that in these five state elections, including West Bengal and Assam, the BJP is set to complete a historic hat-trick of victories, the Prime Minister remarked.
Bengal Votes for Change and Development
Focusing on the West Bengal voting trends, the Prime Minister expressed his delight at the peaceful conduct of the elections. He mentioned that the enthusiasm seen in the second phase mirrors the massive participation of the first phase. He noted that images of people standing in long queues to vote are a testament to the people's resolve to build a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India).
PM Modi further stated that the results on May 4th would strengthen the nation's commitment to rapid development. He took a subtle swipe at the history of electoral violence in the state, calling the current atmosphere of peaceful polling "unimaginable" compared to previous decades.
Confidence in Multi-State Success
The Prime Minister also touched upon the Assam Assembly Election 2026 and the polls in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry. He asserted that the BJP and its allies are in a strong position to win in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry. He cited recent successes in Bihar and local body elections in Gujarat as indicators of the pro-incumbency wave favoring the NDA.
As the Cachar Times continues to track the latest political developments, the Prime Minister’s statements have set a high-voltage tone for the remaining phases of the elections. For the people of the Barak Valley and beyond, these polls remain a crucial turning point in regional and national politics.
