Ramkrishna Nagar : As the 2026 Assam Assembly Elections draw near, the political temperature in the Ramkrishna Nagar (SC) constituency has reached a boiling point. Leading the charge with an electrifying campaign is BJP candidate Bijoy Malakar, whose high-octane outreach programs are reportedly leaving the opposition struggling to keep pace.
In what party insiders are calling a "political storm," Bijoy Malakar has shifted his campaign into top gear. Through a series of massive public meetings and continuous grassroots connectivity, Malakar has managed to galvanize a significant portion of the electorate. Local social activist Mriganka Dutta Chowdhury commented on the current trend, suggesting a potential landslide victory.
"The level of public support we are witnessing is unprecedented. If this momentum continues, Bijoy Malakar is on track to win by a record-breaking margin. The results are becoming increasingly clear to the observers on the ground," Chowdhury remarked.
While candidates from various parties have been active, the scale and speed of Malakar's campaign have set a new benchmark. On Thursday alone, the BJP candidate made a significant impact by holding four consecutive rallies across major Gram Panchayats: Kalinagar, Bhairabnagar, Anandapur, and Chamela Bazar.
Each venue saw a "sea of people," with locals turning out in thousands to catch a glimpse of the leader. Observers noted that the spontaneous participation of common voters, alongside dedicated party workers, has added a new dimension to the electoral math in Ramkrishna Nagar. The rallies were attended by a long list of influential BJP leaders and local representatives, demonstrating a united front.
In a significant boost to the party's morale, the Bhairabnagar meeting saw two prominent local residents officially join the BJP, further signaling a shift in the local political alignment. Following the day-long marathon of events, Bijoy Malakar addressed members of the press, attributing his campaign’s success to his track record. "Our strength lies in our developmental work and our direct connection with the people,"
Malakar stated. "I am fully confident that the voters will once again place their trust in the lotus symbol to continue the journey of progress." As the election date approaches, the political equations in Ramkrishna Nagar are crystallizing. For now, the momentum remains firmly with the saffron camp.
