Grieving family members staged a massive protest inside the facility, strongly alleging severe medical negligence and a fatal delay in performing an emergency Caesarean section.
According to sources, the patient was admitted to the healthcare facility with severe labour pains. However, the situation deteriorated rapidly overnight. The incident has once again triggered serious public resentment regarding the overall patient care and infrastructure management at this prominent healthcare institution.
Family Alleges Medical Negligence and Lack of Senior Doctors on Duty
The family members of the deceased stated that despite repeated requests to the attending medical staff to perform an immediate C-section due to the patient's worsening physical condition, their pleas were allegedly ignored. They claimed that the critical procedure was delayed for hours because of the non-availability of a senior doctor on the floor.
"We kept begging the hospital staff to perform the surgery as her condition was visibly critical, but our requests fell on deaf ears. She was left without proper attention, which led to this tragic end," a heartbroken relative stated during the protest.
The situation escalated quickly as local residents and family members demanded immediate accountability from the administration. Following the commotion, a team from the West Women Police Station rushed to the spot to pacify the agitated crowd and successfully brought the volatile situation under control.
