Organizers have announced a day-long program on Sunday, May 31, to jointly celebrate World Homeopathy Day — marking the 271st birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy — alongside Rabindra Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore.

event, originally scheduled around April 10 — the date on which World Homeopathy Day is observed globally — had to be postponed due to unavoidable local circumstances. Organizers subsequently decided to merge the two celebrations into a single, unified program to honor both luminaries together.

event will begin at 11:30 AM at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Memorial Hall, located on Nibaran Chandra Laskar Sarani (Old Park Road), Silchar. The program is expected to feature discussions on the life and legacy of Dr. Hahnemann, as well as talks on the philosophy and ideals of Rabindranath Tagore. Cultural performances, including Rabindra Sangeet recitals and poetry readings, will also be part of the day's agenda.

In a notable highlight, distinguished poets, literary figures, prominent homeopathic practitioners, and social workers from the Barak Valley region will be felicitated at the event. Additionally, outstanding achievers across various fields will be honored with the prestigious Hahnemann Award.

anizers have also announced that students who performed exceptionally in this year's Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations will receive certificates of commendation, with wishes extended to them for their future endeavors.

The event warmly welcomes participation from people of all communities, faiths, and linguistic backgrounds, reflecting its inclusive spirit.
