Silchar : The Ramakrishna Mission Sevasram, Silchar, was immersed in a deeply spiritual atmosphere on Wednesday evening following the visit of Swami Vimalatmananda Maharaj, the esteemed Vice President of Belur Math. His arrival sparked immense enthusiasm among hundreds of devotees who gathered at the mission premises to catch a glimpse of the revered monk.

A Grand Welcome by Devotees

Maharaj reached the mission at approximately 4:00 PM, where he was greeted with overwhelming devotion. Devotees stood in long, disciplined queues, offering flowers and heartfelt pranams. The air was thick with the sound of devotional songs and Vedic chants, creating a serene environment that touched the hearts of everyone present.

"His presence brings a sense of divine peace and renewed inspiration to our lives," shared an emotional devotee present at the Silchar Sevasram.

Evening Arati and Blessings

Following the traditional Evening Arati (Sandhya Arati), a special session was organized where Swami Vimalatmananda Maharaj interacted with the followers. Devotees sought his divine blessings, turning the Sevasram into a hub of spiritual energy. The discipline and devotion displayed by the local community highlighted the deep-rooted influence of the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda ideology in the region.

Brief Stay and Significance

It is worth noting that Maharaj had recently visited Assam for an initiation ceremony (Diksha) at the Sribhumi Ashram. After his brief but impactful halt at Silchar, he is scheduled to depart for Belur Math on Thursday.

According to mission authorities, this visit holds great significance for the local spiritual community. His stay, though short, has provided a new impetus to the spiritual activities and social service initiatives of the mission in Cachar district.
