CACHAR, MAY 19 : The management authorities of the historic Kabuganj Cattle Market have strongly condemned a malicious disinformation campaign circulating on social media regarding the alleged closure of the market. During a press conference organized by the market's lessee on Monday, officials provided a definitive clarification to restore public confidence.
Committee members categorically stated that the government has issued no such closure order. Consequently, the highly anticipated weekly Assam Cattle Market will take place this Wednesday as scheduled, completely discarding the viral rumors as baseless and ill-intentioned.
Livelihoods Threatened by Vested Interests
Addressing the journalists, senior members Jabir Hussain Laskar and Iqbal Laskar alleged that a vested interest group is intentionally tarnishing the reputation of this trading hub, disrupting essential Cachar Market News updates. They highlighted how this calculated propaganda directly hurts the rural economy.
"Kabuganj Cattle Market is a traditional commercial lifeline. The livelihoods of countless local farmers, small traders, and daily wage earners depend on it. This fake news creates unnecessary panic between buyers and sellers."

An Earnest Appeal to Follow Legal Guidelines
The committee has urged the general public, cattle rearers, and business partners to ignore online speculation and participate in the market without hesitation. Simultaneously, they requested everyone to strictly comply with official government protocols while buying or selling livestock.
